- Cam Newton got a nice gift in the NFL draft, adding a pair of dynamic playmakers, Christian McCaffrey and Curtis Samuel. Both players will bring a new element to the offense and help Newton get back on track after an off year.
- Deshaun Watson still has a long way to go before he wins the starting job in Houston, though it seems likely he'll be under center in Week 1. That's great news for the Texans' skill position players, who struggled through awful quarterback play last season.

- Ben Roethlisberger is set up nicely for the season, but anyone drafting him will have to accept that he's going to miss a few games due to injury. That's the norm with Ben and it's factored into his ranking.
- Unless you snag one of the elite passers, waiting on a quarterback remains the best strategy. Tyrod Taylor, Matthew Stafford, and Jameis Winston are all outside my top 12, but can easily deliver QB1 numbers.
- Blake Bortles finished with the ninth most fantasy points in 2016, after coming in fourth the year before, but the Jaguars offense is about to become run heavy with the arrival of Leonard Fournette.
