Let's not stretch this any further than needed.

With an awkward two years ahead for the Oakland Raiders continuing to play in the Bay Area before moving to Las Vegas in 2020, the director of the team's current facility is hoping they don't overstay their welcome.

The Raiders have two years left on their lease at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum (more commonly known as Oakland Coliseum) and could potentially stay for a third season before their new stadium opens.

"I would say to you with the highest level of confidence, my opinion and recommendation and that of my board members - I don't believe there is any appetite for a third season (in Oakland)," executive director Scott McKibben told USA TODAY Sports' Brent Schrotenboer.

While the Raiders have generated $3.5 million in revenue to the stadium through rent annually, McKibben says the team costs the facility more than $8 million per year in expenses, including $450,000 every time they need to convert from football to baseball for the Oakland A's.

"It's actually financially to our benefit if they didn't exercise the options and play here even in the two years they've got (in 2017 and 2018)," said McKibben.

Among the Raiders' potential options for 2019, playing at UNLV, Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, and in San Antonio have been mentioned as possible one-year stops.
