One of the top prospects in the upcoming NFL draft, receiver John Ross out of Washington, will undergo surgery on a torn labrum after both his pro day and the scouting combine, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Ross sustained the injury early in the 2016 season, his junior year. He reaggravated it in Washington's Peach Bowl loss to Alabama.
Ross posted 1,150 receiving yards and finished third in the nation with 17 touchdowns in his final college season.
The dynamic receiver is projected to be a mid-first-round draft pick in theScore's 2017 mock draft.
