For the second consecutive week, weather caused a delay late in a game hosted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
With the visiting Denver Broncos leading 27-7 with under seven minutes to go, lightning in the Tampa area forced the teams and remaining patrons to seek cover and delay the game.
When play resumed, the result ended up being the same as in Week 3, with the Buccaneers losing in disappointing fashion.
The Broncos held on for a 27-7 final, using their two possessions after the delay to salt away a victory by running the ball through the slop of Raymond James Stadium with C.J. Anderson and rookie Devontae Booker.
The delay overshadowed the performance of Broncos rookie Paxton Lynch, who relieved an injured Trevor Siemian and threw for 170 yards and a touchdown. Who the Broncos turn to at quarterback beyond this week remains unclear.
While last week's delay between the Buccaneers and the Los Angeles Rams lasted more than 70 minutes, this week's was even longer at 86 minutes.
