Meat Loaf claims to be one of the world's best fantasy football players
Meat Loaf is best known for his massively successful 1977 album Bat Out of Hell, and his role in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," but he's also apparently very good at fantasy football.
The singer, who claims he won 11 of the 13 leagues he was in last season, appeared on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio channel this week to talk about the secret behind his fantasy football success.
Here's what he had to say, as transcribed by Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post:
Normally everybody goes for running backs. Last year, I didn't. And what did I have, 13 leagues last year? And (I) won 11. And I didn't go for running backs. I went for receivers. My first three picks were receivers, and then I went for running backs, and then I went running back alllll the way down the line. And one of my last picks - still left on the board - was Kirk Cousins. What a sleeper last year. I was sitting there (thinking), "Don't you dare take Kirk Cousins, people. Don't you dare." I think I took him in the 13th round.
Meat Loaf also sat down with "The Rich Eisen Show" on Tuesday, and said he once won 50 championships out of 56 leagues in a season.
