The Oakland Raiders are signing an undrafted free agent with significant football bloodlines.

The team will add Duke wide receiver Max McCaffrey, son of former Denver Broncos wide receiver Ed McCaffrey and brother of Heisman Trophy runner up Christian McCaffrey, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, citing league sources.

Max caught 117 passes for 1,314 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns during four collegiate seasons, improving his usage each year.

His brother Christian, of Stanford, could be a high selection in next year's draft if he follows up a brilliant 2,000-yard rushing season with another productive campaign.

Ed McAffrey spent 13 seasons in the NFL, most notably from 1995-2003 with the Broncos.
