The Los Angeles Rams were the team to ultimately pry the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft away from the Tennessee Titans, but they were apparently not the only team attempting to do so.

In a press conference Thursday, Titans general manager Jon Robinson confirmed that "a couple" other teams proposed solid offers to the Titans for the top selection.

While Robinson chose not to disclose which franchises were interested, it's long been rumored that the San Francisco 49ers, New York Jets, and Philadelphia Eagles were all looking to trade up to select one of the draft's top quarterbacks.

"I think the deal was made in the best interest of both teams," Robinson said.

Trading the first overall pick is a monumental decision for any general manager, but especially for one who's only been on the job for three months. However, Robinson insists he's prepared to do whatever it takes to help the Titans win.

"I'm not scared to do what I think is in the best interest of this football team," he said.

The Titans now have the 15th overall selection, and Robinson didn't rule out further moves in the first round now that his team has the draft ammunition to make any move it wishes.

"My phone is still working," Robinson said. "Feel free to call."
