Valencia dealt defensive blow as Aymen Abdennour suffers hamstring injury
Spanish outfit Valencia could be without Aymen Abdennour for the next few weeks as the Tunisian defender injured his hamstring, the club announced Wednesday.
"According to a medical examination this morning, Aymen Abdennour has a muscle injury to his left hamstring," the club wrote on its website. "His recovery from the injury will be assessed shortly."
The 26-year-old suffered the injury during Tuesday's 1-0 win in a Champions League encounter with French side Lyon. Abdennour was instrumental in securing the win in Group H during the hour he played before being substituted off with the injury.
