Report: Warriors-76ers trade talks for Simmons never progressed
Another team appears to be out of the Ben Simmons sweepstakes.
Trade talks between the Philadelphia 76ers and Golden State Warriors regarding Simmons have never even really been alive, sources told The Athletic's Anthony Slater.
The Warriors reportedly declined the 76ers' proposal of Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman, the Nos. 7 and 14 picks in the 2021 NBA Draft, and two future first-round selections.
Golden State reportedly has no intention to trade their young players for Simmons or a veteran.
The Sacramento Kings were also linked with Simmons, though they reportedly won't include De'Aaron Fox or Tyrese Haliburton in a potential deal.
The Minnesota Timberwolves and Toronto Raptors have also been linked to the three-time All-Star.
Simmons apparently informed the 76ers' brass that he wants out and doesn't intend to report to training camp later this month.
