Grant entered health and safety protocols Thursday "out of an abundance of caution." The 2020-21 Most Improved Player of the Year finalist last represented the United States nearly a decade ago at the FIBA U18 Americas Championship.
Grant's return solves another question surrounding the American squad. The U.S. ruled out Bradley Beal's participation in the Olympics after he entered health and safety protocols last week, while Kevin Love withdrew due to lingering effects from a right calf injury.
Team USA added free-agent center JaVale McGee and San Antonio Spurs forward Keldon Johnson as replacements.
