Hyun-Jin Ryu may be doing some recruiting for the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Blue Jays ace recently dined with Korean star infielder Ha-seong Kim, according to ESPN's KBO insider Daniel Kim.

Kim, who apparently requested the meeting with Ryu, was reportedly posted by the Kiwoom Heroes of the Korean Baseball Organization on Monday.

Toronto has apparently been interested in the star infielder for some time.

"The performance in the KBO has been quite strong. ... He fits into that infield market really well," Blue Jays assistant general manager Joe Sheehan said Tuesday, according to Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith.

The 25-year-old Kim is one of the top free agents available. He slashed .294/.373/.493 with 133 home runs, 191 doubles, and 575 RBIs over seven impressive seasons in the KBO.

The Bucheon native had the best campaign of his career with the Heroes last year, hitting .306/.397/.523 with 30 homers, 109 RBIs, and 23 steals.

Kim has also reportedly drawn interest from the Texas Rangers.
