Monta Ellis and Amar'e Stoudemire are officially taking their first step toward a return to the Association.

Twelve NBA teams are attending their private workout in Las Vegas on Monday, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Milwaukee Bucks, Detroit Pistons, and Washington Wizards, according to Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.

Both Ellis and Stoudamire reportedly hope to sign with a contender for the 2019-20 season.

Ellis enjoyed the peak of his success with the Golden State Warriors, averaging 19.6 points on 46.5 percent shooting across seven seasons in the Bay Area. He won the NBA's Most Improved Player award in 2007. Ellis last played in the NBA during the 2016-17 season with the Indiana Pacers.

Stoudemire starred on the "Seven Seconds or Less" Phoenix Suns teams alongside Hall of Famer Steve Nash and Shawn Marion. The big man averaged 21.4 points, 8.9 boards, and 1.4 blocks per contest across eight seasons in Phoenix. Stoudemire last played in the Association with the Miami Heat during the 2015-16 season.
