When the Seattle Seahawks began their mandatory minicamp Tuesday, star safety Earl Thomas wasn't there, as promised.

As Thomas holds out for a reworked deal, head coach Pete Carroll was asked if the six-time Pro Bowler would be present for the team's season opener against the Denver Broncos on Sept. 9.
"We'll see," Carroll said, according to Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times.
The 2018 season is the final year of Thomas' current contract. He carries a cap hit of $10.4 million.
Speculation has swirled surrounding the 29-year-old's future with the team that drafted him 14th overall in 2010.
