NFL teams are not only focused on prospect selections during draft week, they're also engaged in trade talks involving current roster players.

One veteran rumored to be on the move this offseason is Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas. ESPN's Dan Graziano reports there's a sense around the league that the Dallas Cowboys aren't done making a run at the All-Pro defensive back, and trade talks have "centered around" Dallas' second-round pick (No. 50 overall).

Graziano adds a potential trade will not be completed until the Cowboys are certain they can sign Thomas to a long-term contract after being acquired. Thomas has one year and $8.5 million left on his current deal with a $10.4-million cap hit.

The six-time Pro Bowler skipped Seattle's voluntary workouts last week, though head coach Pete Carroll is counting on his safety to attend mandatory camp.

Thomas would fill the Cowboys' biggest need on the defensive side of the ball, with Jeff Heath and Xavier Woods currently atop the depth chart.
