Earl Thomas has cleared the air.

A day after referring to his future in Seattle as "a guessing game", the longtime Seahawks safety reaffirmed his preference to finish his career with the only NFL team he's ever known.

"Hold on everyone. Let's not get it confused. I want to be a Seahawk," Thomas wrote. "I want my jersey retired in the ring of honor with the other greats that came before me. I love being in Seattle. The winning culture we have established, I want to be part of it for life!!"

With the Seahawks moving on from several of their key defensive figures, including Richard Sherman and Michael Bennett, as well as the uncertain playing futures of Kam Chancellor and Cliff Avril, Thomas - who hinted in December at a preference for playing with the Dallas Cowboys - could be next.

The 28-year-old has one year left on his deal and is currently slated to earn $10.4 million in 2018. Thomas has made six Pro Bowls as a member of the Seahawks and won Super Bowl XLVIII.
