Earl Thomas' homecoming apparently won't be happening anytime soon.

The Seattle Seahawks have no interest in trading the star safety and want him "firmly in their plans for the 2018 season" despite looking into moving another veteran defender in Michael Bennett, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Seahawks general manager John Schneider confirmed last week that contract talks with Thomas' camp have begun.

The perennial Pro Bowler previously hinted at a holdout if he didn't receive a contract extension and teased a desire to join the Dallas Cowboys by telling Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett "come get me" after a December victory.

Thomas will be a free agent after the 2018 season and is owed $8.5 million in base salary for the final year of his contract.
