Griffin sets new combine record

A day after dazzling the football community with his bench press, Shaquem Griffin, a one-handed linebacker out of Central Florida, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds, the best time for a linebacker since the statistic began being compiled in 2003.

D-Linemen post absurd 40-yard dash times

A new era is truly upon us, one in which defensive linemen can absolutely fly. This year's crop of prospective interior linemen crushed it in the 40-yard dash. The top performer was USC's Rasheem Green, who clocked in at an astounding 4.73 seconds. Then defensive ends hit the field and Bradley Chubb flew away at 4.66.

Vea drops out of combine drills after running 40

Stud D-lineman Vita Vea was among those who impressed Sunday, but he opted out of the remainder of the drills with a hamstring ailment after his two runs in the 40.

Hurst in good spirits despite heart condition

Michigan defensive tackle Maurice Hurst had to pull out of the combine after a heart condition was discovered during testing, but he remained in Indianapolis and was on the sidelines while his contemporaries participated in drills. He remained in good spirits and hopes to be cleared to take part in his pro day.
