Marcus Peters can't wait to square off against quarterback and ex-teammate Patrick Mahomes next season when the Los Angeles Rams host the Kansas City Chiefs.

"I'm expecting turnovers and I'm expecting a win," the cornerback said Monday, via NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "He know how to give me the ball. He know how to give me the ball."

Peters, a two-time Pro Bowler who's notched 19 interceptions over his first three seasons in the NFL, is set to be traded to the Rams from the Chiefs at the start of the new league year.

He's excited about joining the youthful Rams, which are looking to build on an 11-win season that included a playoff appearance for the first time in over a decade.

"It's going to be some ups and downs. That's the beautiful thing about the game and we going to win games," he said. "We going to win games. When you've got a running back like I do, when you got a front seven like I do now, all you can do is just keep making plays. Get the ball back to Todd (Gurley), so he can do his thing. Get the ball to Jared (Goff), let him do his thing. We got (Robert) Woods, (Cooper) Kupp."
