Home teams open as huge favorites for Wild Card Weekend
Home field is a distinct advantage in the playoffs, and the four teams that will be hosts on Wild Card Weekend opened as heavy favorites Sunday.
The Los Angeles Rams, New Orleans Saints, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Kansas City Chiefs are major betting favorites, according to the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook.
The Jaguars and Chiefs are both eight-point favorites. Jacksonville hosts a Buffalo Bills team making its first playoff appearance since 1999, while the Chiefs will welcome a Tennessee Titans club that hasn't made the playoffs since 2008.
The Saints are 6.5-point favorites for their home date with the Carolina Panthers. The Saints swept the two-game season series with their divisional rivals. New Orleans won the first meeting 34-13 in Week 3 and then took Week 13's matchup 31-21 at home.
The Rams open as six-point favorites against defending NFC champions the Atlanta Falcons.
