Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was pulled from Sunday night's game against the Houston Texans after taking a massive hit from safety Marcus Gilchrist in the second quarter.

Kelce cleared an initial concussion examination in the Chiefs' medical tent and returned for a few plays to close out the half, but he wouldn't take the field after half time.

Head coach Andy Reid said Kelce's condition may have worsened.

"He came in at halftime, and he couldn't quite remember [anything],'' Reid said. "He was remembering on the field, but he couldn't quite remember things, and so we just held him out from there.''

"We're lucky enough we have enough depth to do that,'' Reid said.

The Chiefs proved to be alright without Kelce, going on to add 19 more points in the fourth quarter.
