Report: Paris Saint-Germain renews Sanchez interest

Faced with the possibility of letting Alexis Sanchez walk for free next summer, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said the north London lot will not sell to a Premier League rival amid reported interest from Manchester City.

The Gunners may very well get their wish, with numerous French outlets including Le Parisien, L'Equipe, and RMC Sport reporting that Paris Saint-Germain is again interested in the services of the tireless Chilean international.

With new sporting director Antero Henrique leading a charge to end Monaco's one-year reign atop the Ligue 1 standings, the former Porto backroom staffer is again eyeing Sanchez to boost the capital club's attack.

When Sanchez said earlier in the week, "I want to play the Champions League," it again alarmed Arsenal supporters who hoped that the former Barcelona man would stay put, and that's exactly what PSG can offer the 28-year-old attacker.

Pair that with a reported failure to attract Les Monegasques stud Kylian Mbappe to the Parc des Princes and Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge's admission that the Bavarian behemoth is no longer pursuing Sanchez, and a move to the French capital may be the best-case scenario for Wenger and Co.

Reports have suggested that Arsenal's €300,000-a-week wage offer to Sanchez has been shunned as the deft dribbler prefers an exorbitant €400,000-a-week, and while that may dissuade PSG, with Angel Di Maria linked with a move to Inter and Edinson Cavani set to turn 31 midway through next season, a versatile forward is precisely what Unai Emery's squad requires.

There is also speculation linking PSG with an obscene bid for Barcelona's Neymar, a fanciful offer that is far less likely than a move for Sanchez.
