Here are theScore's sample Squad Up lineups for the five-game early slate starting at 1:10 p.m. EST for Thursday, April 13:

The "Romine Lettuce" Lineup

POS NAME OPP FPPG SALARY
P Yu Darvish (TEX) at LAA 8.5 89K
C Willson Contreras (CHC) vs. LAD 10.4 50K
SS Andrew Romine (DET) vs. MIN 14.5 37K
1B Miguel Cabrera (DET) vs. MIN 1.8 74K
OF Tyler Collins (DET) vs. MIN 9.1 46K

Darvish, with a career K/9 north of 11, has the highest upside of any pitcher on the slate. If he can avoid being touched by Mike Trout and Albert Pujols, he should be on track for eight-plus Ks and a win. The Tigers' stack pounces on the inconsistent Phil Hughes; led by a former MVP and triple-crown winner in Cabrera and flanked by hot-hitting youngsters, you can roster the two most expensive players on the slate without sacrificing your floor.

The "Something's Fishy" Lineup

POS NAME OPP FPPG SALARY
P Brett Anderson (CHC) vs. LAD 14.0 56K
C Jonathan Lucroy (TEX) at LAA 8.0 46K
2B Brian Dozier (MIN) at DET 9.5 58K
1B Miguel Cabrera (DET) vs. MIN 1.8 74K
OF Mike Trout (LAA) vs. TEX 16.1 60k

Trout for just 60K? Sure, he's facing Rangers ace Yu Darvish, but that still seems like a remarkably low salary for the best player in baseball. Luckily, it's not hard to get him into your lineup since the truly expensive pitchers are few and far between - you can even pair him with Cabrera's 74K price tag and still have enough money left over for high upside veteran options in Anderson, Lucroy and Dozier.
