Watch: Syndergaard makes Inciarte look silly with 92-mph slider

Day 1 of the 2017 regular season for the New York Mets and Noah Syndergaard is throwing pure filth.

The towering right-hander breezed through the Atlanta Braves' lineup in the top of the first inning Monday on just seven pitches, which included a nasty 92-mph slider to leadoff hitter Ender Inciarte.

The average four-seam fastball in 2016 was 93.1 mph, according to MLB Stat of the Day.

Syndergaard also began the contest with the fastest Opening Day pitch ever recorded at 98.3 mph, according to MLB's Daren Willman.

To say Inciarte had no chance to hit the pitch would be an understatement.
