Former Virginia Tech safety C.J. Reavis has broken his silence following the abrupt student conduct hearing that prematurely ended his career with the Hokies.
Reavis said on Twitter he was "very disappointed" with how he was treated by the student conduct and appeal officers, but maintained that he feels "nothing but love" for the school's football program.
"I am going to miss every last one of my coaches and teammates," he wrote, still not disclosing the exact issue that cost him his place at the school. "I can honestly say that they truly are like a family to me and it saddens me deeply that I can no longer pursue my dream at the university."
A former four-star recruit, Reavis was dismissed from the school in July after facing a student conduct hearing for an unspecified violation. His appeal was dismissed later that month.
Reavis also announced that he's since decided to attend Eastern Mississippi Community College in hopes of reviving his once-promising football career. He noted that the school is ranked as one of the top junior college breeding grounds for players.
"This is only a stepping stone in my legacy," Reavis said of the decision. "In May, I will be able to attend any college I wish."
