Shedeur was widely expected to land with Colorado after Deion left Jackson State to join the Power 5 school. Shedeur initially committed to Florida Atlantic in July 2020 but eventually flipped his commitment to the Tigers after they hired his father as their sideline boss.
Shedeur completed 70.6% of his passes for 3,732 yards and 40 touchdowns as a sophomore at Jackson State in 2022, up from a 65.9% completion rate, 3,231 yards, and 30 touchdowns in 2021. He also rushed for 173 yards and six scores.
Several high-profile recruits have joined Colorado since Deion Sanders was hired Dec. 3, including 2022 second overall recruit Travis Hunter and four-star receiver Adam Hopkins, who had originally committed to Auburn.
