Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers was forced to exit Saturday's game against Alabama with a clavicle injury and did not return after Dallas Turner drove him into the ground.

Ewers remained on the field for several moments before walking off under his own power. He was spotted with a towel over his head before walking toward the Longhorns' locker room at the start of the second quarter.

The signal-caller did not return to the field after halftime after going for X-rays and was seen on the sidelines during the second half in street clothes.

Following the game, head coach Steve Sarkisian said that Ewers suffered a clavicle sprain and will have an MRI to determine the severity, according to Joe Cook of Inside Texas.

Hudson Card played the remainder of the game at QB in Ewers' place. He completed 14-of-22 passes for 158 yards.

Turner, meanwhile, was assessed a personal foul on the play.

Ewers completed 9-of-12 pass attempts for 134 yards, including a 46-yard throw to Xavier Worthy that helped set up a touchdown to knot the game up at 10 apiece.

Ewers was starting his second contest for the Longhorns after beating out Card for the role. He transferred to Texas after initially signing with Ohio State out of high school.
