North Carolina announced senior wide receiver Mack Hollins had season-ending surgery on Sunday to repair his right clavicle.

Hollins suffered the injury in the Tar Heels' 20-13 win over No. 16 Miami.

“Mack has been an instrumental player in our program,” head coach Larry Fedora said in a statement. "Over the last three seasons, he has been a key component of our offense at wide receiver and has been one of our most vocal leaders. His contributions on the field will be missed, but he will continue to be involved with the program and help mentor our players.”

The Rockville, Md. native had four touchdowns and 309 receiving yards in North Carolina's first seven games this season. In his career, Hollins ranks third all time in program history with 20 touchdown receptions to go with 81 catches and 1,667 receiving yards.
