UConn head coach Dan Hurley signed a two-year contract extension through the 2031-32 season, the school announced Friday.

He'll remain among the highest-paid coaches in the sport, 247 Sports' Jon Rothstein reports.

"We understand our responsibility to the people of Connecticut and to the incredible supporters of UConn basketball and will continue to bring a relentless, obsessive approach to winning and championship-level success," Hurley said in a statement.

The Huskies hired Hurley from Rhode Island in March 2018.

The 53-year-old has restored the program to relevance, winning back-to-back national championships in 2023 and 2024.

UConn advanced to its third Final Four in four seasons earlier in 2026 but lost to Michigan in the national championship game.

Hurley has a 199-75 record over eight seasons in Storrs, trailing only Jim Calhoun and Hugh Greer on the school's all-time wins list.

The New Jersey native was the Big East and Naismith Coach of the Year in 2024.
