Report: Oumar Ballo commits to Indiana

Oumar Ballo has committed to Indiana after entering the transfer portal from Arizona, sources told Jeff Borzello of ESPN.

The center spent the last three years with the Wildcats and was considered the top transfer available.

Ballo averaged a double-double of 12.9 points and 10.1 rebounds in his senior year with the Wildcats, helping Tommy Lloyd's side finish atop the Pac-12 before reaching the Sweet 16, where they lost to Clemson.

The 7-foot Malian big man is Mike Woodson's third impactful addition of the offseason.

Ballo will be joined in Bloomington by reigning Pac-12 Freshman of the Year Myles Rice, who pledged over the weekend to transfer to Indiana from Washington State, and five-star recruit Bryson Tucker, who committed to the school in March.

The Hoosiers went 10-10 in Big Ten play last season as part of an overall 19-14 record. They defeated Penn State in their conference tournament opener but were routed by third-seeded Nebraska in the quarterfinals.
