The Florida Gators are signing head coach Todd Golden to a new six-year contract, his agent told Edgar Thompson of the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
Golden has now signed an extension each of the last three years. His new contract adds one more season to his previous deal, locking him up through 2032. Golden's average annual salary now sits at $8.25 million, which is among the highest of any coach in college basketball.
The 41-year-old boasts a 103-41 record in four years with the Gators and helped guide them to a national title in 2025. Florida also earned a No. 1 seed in this year's NCAA Tournament before being upset by Iowa in the second round.
The Gators are projected to begin the 2026-27 campaign as the No. 1-ranked team in the country. Golden retained a significant portion of last season's roster, including Alex Condon, Rueben Chinyelu, and Thomas Haugh.
Golden spent three seasons as the head coach at San Francisco before joining Florida in 2022. He holds an all-time head coaching record of 160-77.
