Georgia transfer Sahvir Wheeler is committing to Kentucky, he told Stadium's Jeff Goodman on Monday.

"I feel like coach (John Calipari) and that staff and that roster give me the best chance to win a national championship next year and pursue my dreams of playing in the NBA," Wheeler said, courtesy of ESPN's Jeff Borzello.

Wheeler was one of the best passers in college this past season, ranking fifth in the nation with 7.4 assists per game as a sophomore.

A four-star recruit out of high school, Wheeler put up nine points and 4.5 assists in 31 games (17 starts) as a freshman. He took on a much bigger role in his second season, starting all 26 of his appearances while scoring 14 points per game and making the All-SEC second team.

Wheeler is the second guard to commit to the Wildcats within the last week. Five-star recruit TyTy Washington announced Wednesday he would sign with Kentucky after decommitting from Creighton earlier this year.
