Long before Scott Skiles manned the bench for the Orlando Magic, nearly two decades before Dwight Howard led the Magic to The Finals, and years before Shaquille O'Neal put on a Magic jersey, Skiles was making history running point for the expansion franchise.
Twenty-five years ago today, on Dec. 30, 1990, Skiles set the single-game assist record with a dazzling performance in a 155-116 demolition of the Denver Nuggets.
Who would've thought that a routine first-possession dime from Skiles to Nick Anderson would be assist No. 1 of 30?
