Of all the promising skills Kristaps Porzingis has flashed in his rookie season with the New York Knicks - the mobility, the coordination, the touch - perhaps the most impressive has been his timing.
After rising up for a vicious putback jam over LaMarcus Aldridge on Monday, Porzingis hunted down a bounce off the rim Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Seeing that Kevin Love had gotten himself a little too far under the basket, he swooped in at just the right moment and flushed the ball back through the hoop.
He'd found Love in a hopeless place.
