Nowitzki turns back the clock to keep Lakers winless
Dirk Nowitzki may be one of the oldest players in the NBA, but he sure didn't look like it on Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The 37-year-old German sipped from the fountain of youth as he contributed a hearty stat line - 25 points on 10-of-13 shooting to go with nine rebounds and one steal - to his Dallas Mavericks' 103-93 victory.
With the Mavs in the driver's seat the entire game, Nowitzki even threw in a rare dunk for good measure against a helpless Lakers' defense.

Although head coach Rick Carlisle may not expect his future Hall of Famer to put in 20-plus points on a nightly basis, his performance Sunday was a sight for sore eyes.
Nowitzki averaged 17.3 points in 2014-15 - tied for his second-lowest scoring mark since his rookie season - and totaled just 27 points (on 44 percent shooting) through the first two games of the season.
