Well, that was fast.
Fresh off Toronto's playoff elimination at the hands of the Brooklyn Nets, the Toronto Star reports that the Raptors have agreed upon a three-year extension with head coach Dwane Casey.
According to TNT's David Aldridge, Casey's contract will pay him slightly less than $4 million per year.
The Raptors set a franchise record in total wins this season with 48, en route to capturing the Atlantic Division title. They also qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2008.
The defensively-focused head coach presided over the league's ninth-best defense, and oversaw a sizable roster change, as Toronto shipped out forward Rudy Gay to Sacramento in exchange for four players mid-season.
It's also worth mentioning that Casey has the firm backing of his lone All-Star, and rarely found himself at odds with his players.
DeMar, when asked if it was fair to say he supports Casey after throwing his full support behind Lowry: "I support ‘em. Love ‘em both."

Over his three seasons as head coach of the Raptors, Casey led the team to a record of 105-125 during the regular season, and a record of 3-4 during the playoffs.
