Los Angeles Police Department officers arrested a man Friday on stalking charges during an incident at LeBron James' home in Brentwood, California, an LAPD spokesperson told ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

After responding to a call at 9:39 p.m. for a potential burglary at James' home, officers encountered a suspect at the residence and charged him with stalking, according to police.

The man claimed to be James' son, authorities told KTLA's Lily Dallow.

James, 41, was in Cleveland on Friday with the Philadelphia 76ers for an NBA Cup game against the Cavaliers. The 76ers lost 119-95.
