Andre Iguodala says LeBron James' reported interest in joining the Golden State Warriors speaks to Stephen Curry's stature.
"As I've been saying since 2013, Steph Curry, no one understands how great he is," the ex-Warriors forward told ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
"He's like, 'Steph Curry, if he's going to get another one of the greatest players of their generation to play on his team, what does it say about him?'"
Curry won three of his titles in a four-year span against the James-led Cleveland Cavaliers from 2014-18. The Warriors legend finally captured his maiden Finals MVP in 2022 when they defeated the Boston Celtics in six games.
Curry is a 12-time All-Star, 11-time All-NBA selection, two-time MVP, two-time scoring champ, and the Association's all-time leader in threes made. The 38-year-old joined forces with James at the 2024 Paris Games to lead Team USA to gold.
Iguodala said he's hoping to see the two basketball icons team up once more.
"Considering where they're at in their careers, what they did in Paris," Iguodala said. "In my opinion, LeBron James, he might be the smartest basketball player I've ever seen. ... For him to play with somebody like Steph Curry ...
"To see that, even to fathom it, that's what drives interest and drives the love of the game, of basketball, is the greatness of our players. So, I'm going to be watching. Every game."
