The Los Angeles Lakers are trading Gabe Vincent and a 2032 second-round pick to the Atlanta Hawks for Luke Kennard, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

The draft selection was the only tradable second-rounder at the Lakers' disposal, according to ESPN's Bobby Marks.

Kennard is shooting an NBA-leading 49.7% from distance and should provide the Lakers with some much needed spacing.

Los Angeles ranks 22nd in 3-point percentage (34.9%) and 23rd in threes made (11.9 per game).

The Lakers signed Vincent to a three-year, $33-million contract in 2023. The 29-year-old has battled injuries throughout his L.A. tenure and struggled on the court when available. He's averaging 4.8 points on 34.6% shooting across 29 appearances this season.

Both players are on expiring deals.
