The Toronto Raptors and Atlanta Hawks aren't giving up on Anthony Davis.

The Dallas Mavericks recently renewed trade talks with multiple teams interested in the big man, including the Hawks and Raptors, ESPN's Shams Charania reported Wednesday.

The Mavericks are reportedly debating whether to sell low on Davis now, who's expected to miss the next six weeks after sustaining ligament damage in his hand, or wait until the five-time All-NBA pick is healthy to see how he fares alongside Kyrie Irving and Cooper Flagg. The trio has yet to play together as Irving recovers from a torn ACL he suffered in March. The Mavericks are 10-10 when Davis and Flagg both play, a stark contrast from their overall 15-25 mark.

Though Davis is expected to remain sidelined through the Feb. 5 trade deadline, a second opinion from a specialist Tuesday confirmed that the 32-year-old won't require surgery.

Trading for the 10-time All-Star and five-time All-Defensive selection could be a risk due to his abundant injury history, but a healthy Davis would likely still drastically improve the defense of any team that acquires him. The Raptors, specifically, are playing without a traditional big due to a lingering back injury to center Jakob Poeltl. Atlanta, meanwhile, appears to be putting more of a focus on team defense after trading star guard Trae Young to the Washington Wizards.

Davis' $54.1-million salary is tied for the fifth-highest cap hit this season, according to Spotrac. He's slated to earn $58.5 million in 2026-27 before having to decide on a $62.8-million player option for the 2027-28 campaign.

Davis is averaging 20.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.7 blocks in his 14th season, but has played just 20 of a possible 40 games entering Wednesday.
