Blazers' Henderson out at least 4-8 weeks with hamstring injury
Portland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson will miss at least four-to-eight weeks after tearing his left hamstring during an offseason workout this week, the team announced Friday.
Henderson is expected to continue playing a key role off Portland's bench as the backup point guard behind veteran Jrue Holiday. The 21-year-old averaged 12.7 points, 5.1 assists, three boards, and one steal across 66 appearances last season.
While Henderson's scoring dipped slightly from his rookie year, his 3-point efficiency improved by nearly 3 percentage points. The Trail Blazers scored 5.2 more points per 100 possessions with Henderson on the floor during the 2024-25 campaign.
Portland selected Henderson with the No. 3 overall pick in 2023. The Georgia native was a five-star recruit coming out of high school but opted to play for the now-defunct G League Ignite, who signed him to a two-year, $1-million contract.
