The T-Wolves were reportedly among five clubs who recently expressed interest in acquiring the 15-time All-Star.
Minnesota apparently attempted to land Durant at the trade deadline last February. T-Wolves star Anthony Edwards called Durant his "favorite player of all time" in March and played alongside him on Team USA at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
Durant reportedly prefers to be dealt to the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, or Miami Heat.
The two-time Finals MVP has one season remaining on a four-year, $194.2-million contract. He's eligible to sign a two-year contract extension worth as much as $122 million as of July 6 with the club that trades for him.
Durant averaged 26.6 points, six boards, 4.2 assists, and 1.2 blocks across 62 appearances last season.
