Aaron Gordon will need several weeks to recover from a Grade 2 hamstring strain suffered late in the Denver Nuggets' Game 6 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

Gordon has yet to be officially ruled out for Game 7 and is reportedly searching for ways to play in Sunday's do-or-die affair, adds Charania. However, it's becoming physically improbable for him to suit up, per Charania.

The 6-foot-8 forward has been a key part of the Nuggets' playoff run, averaging 16.8 points, 7.3 boards, and 2.9 assists across 13 appearances. He's had a share of clutch moments throughout the postseason, including a game-winning triple against the Thunder in Game 1.

Denver is scoring 28 more points per 100 possessions with Gordon on the floor during the playoffs.

Third-year wing Peyton Watson and rookie guard Jalen Pickett could both see expanded playing time with Gordon sidelined.
