Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball will miss the remainder of the campaign to undergo a pair of minor procedures to address ankle and wrist issues, the team announced Friday.
The one-time All-Star is expected to make a full recovery and have a full offseason regimen of work.
Ball reportedly played through pain in recent weeks before shutting it down for the season.
The former Rookie of the Year averaged a career-high 25.2 points, 7.4 assists, 4.9 boards, and 1.1 steals this season.
However, various injuries limited Ball to just 47 appearances. He often sat out at least one half of a back-to-back to manage the ankle injury.
Charlotte's 18-54 record is the third worst in the Association with 10 more games remaining.
