Report: Ex-Lakers coach Ham joins Bucks as assistant
The Milwaukee Bucks are hiring former Los Angeles Lakers head coach Darvin Ham as Doc Rivers' lead assistant, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
L.A. dismissed Ham after its first-round playoff exit in April. He finished his two-year Lakers tenure with a 90-74 regular-season record and two playoff series wins.
Prior to joining the Lakers, Ham was an assistant with the Bucks under Mike Budenholzer. He also spent time as an assistant with the Lakers and Atlanta Hawks.
Ham played three of his eight NBA seasons in Milwaukee, averaging a career-high 5.1 points per game in 1999-2000.
The Bucks faltered after Rivers took over for the fired Adrian Griffin this campaign, going just 17-19 under his watch in the regular season before falling to the 6-seed Indiana Pacers in the first round.
