Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee and is expected to miss six-to-eight weeks, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Vincent has appeared in just five games this season due to ongoing left knee effusion. The 27-year-old returned from a nearly two-month absence on Dec. 20 against the Chicago Bulls, scoring three points in 14 minutes of action.

Vincent is averaging 5.4 points, one rebound, and three assists per game in 25.4 minutes while shooting 37.5% from the floor and 11.8% from three-point range.

The Lakers signed Vincent to a three-year, $33-million contract in the offseason. He spent the first four seasons of his NBA career with the Miami Heat.
