Report: Pistons' Bogdanovic could make season debut vs. Cavs
Help may be on the way for the struggling Detroit Pistons.
Veteran forward Bojan Bogdanovic could make his season debut Saturday against the Cleveland Cavaliers, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Bogdanovic appears to be nearing a return as the Pistons upgraded him to questionable on their latest injury report for Thursday's tilt against the New York Knicks.
The 34-year-old has yet to suit up this season due to a right calf strain. He led Detroit in scoring during the 2022-23 campaign, averaging a career-high 21.6 points on 48.8% shooting - including a 41.1% clip from deep.
The Pistons acquired Bogdanovic from the Utah Jazz in September 2022. A month later, he signed a two-year, $39.1-million contract extension with the club.
While Bogdanovic has two years remaining on that deal, his salary for the 2024-25 campaign is only partially guaranteed.
Detroit's currently riding a franchise-record 15-game losing streak and sits last in the Association with a 2-16 mark.
