Forward P.J. Tucker is unlikely to return to the Miami Heat, sources told The Athletic's Alex Schiffer.

Multiple teams are reportedly expected to pursue the veteran forward in free agency, including the Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Philadelphia 76ers. All the interested clubs are expected to offer the full mid-level or taxpayer mid-level exception, according to Schiffer.

The 76ers reportedly intend to offer Tucker a three-year, $30-million contract.

Tucker apparently declined his $7.4-million player option for next season. He averaged 7.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 71 games with the Heat in 2021-22.

The 37-year-old brings championship experience as he contributed to the Milwaukee Bucks' title run in 2021.
