CP3 out at least 6-8 weeks with thumb injury
The Phoenix Suns announced star Chris Paul will miss at least six-to-eight weeks due to a right thumb avulsion fracture, according to Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.
Despite the injury, Paul played a few token minutes in Sunday's All-Star Game before subbing out.
Paul may miss the rest of the regular season with only seven weeks remaining.
The veteran guard has been sporting a cast on his right hand throughout the All-Star festivities. He sustained the injury during Wednesday's contest against the Houston Rockets.
Paul is averaging 14.9 points and a league-leading 10.7 assists across 58 appearances this season.
Phoenix sits atop the NBA standings with a 48-10 record. The Suns have a six-and-a-half-game lead over the Golden State Warriors for the West's top seed.
