Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone entered the NBA's COVID-19 protocols Thursday, a source told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The 17-16 Nuggets were slated to host the Golden State Warriors on Thursday evening at Ball Arena, but the NBA postponed the game after Denver was unable to submit a roster of eight players, according to Wojnarowski.

Nuggets assistant David Adelman will assume Malone's role in his absence, Wojnarowski adds.

Also joining Malone in the league's health and safety protocols are Nuggets players Jeff Green, Bones Hyland, and Zeke Nnaji.

Along with Malone, Philadelphia 76ers bench boss Doc Rivers also entered protocols Thursday. They join the Lakers' Frank Vogel, Chicago's Billy Donovan, Phoenix's Monty Williams, Portland's Chauncey Billups, and Oklahoma City's Mark Daigneault as head coaches currently in protocols.
