Los Angeles Lakers guard Talen Horton-Tucker will miss at least four weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb, the team announced Tuesday, according to Ryan Ward of Lakers Nation.

Horton-Tucker missed Los Angeles' preseason matchup Sunday against the Phoenix Suns because of the injury.

In three exhibition contests, Horton-Tucker is averaging 12.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and one steal in 23 minutes per game.

Injuries have suddenly piled up for the Lakers as the start of the 2021-22 season approaches. Veteran forward Trevor Ariza is expected to miss eight weeks after undergoing ankle surgery Wednesday, while guard Malik Monk will be out for approximately one week due to a groin strain.
